Royal Retreat is a upscale 2-bedroom mountain home situated inside the Yosemite Park gates and close to Yosemite’s most popular attractions. Located at 5,500 feet, it provides an escape from the heat on the Valley floor in the summer and proximity to fun at Badger Pass in the winter. Boasting 2 King bedrooms, this home is perfect for 2 couples.

Royal Retreat couldn’t be better situated. Our vacation home is in Yosemite West, right by the turnoff for Glacier Point. This means you will be inside Yosemite, and central to everything the park has to offer. It sure beats long drives from outside the gates or sitting in lines for hours! The Valley floor and its breathtaking waterfalls are 12 miles away – approximately 30 minutes to the north. The Wawona area and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees are even closer, less than 30 minutes away to the south. Glacier Point is another attraction not to be missed; a few minutes’ drive takes you to the turn-off, then 20-minute trip to the Point is beautiful in itself, but the views from the overlooks are truly awe-inspiring.

Royal Retreat is a modern home, and you can feel the care that went into each detail, from the Shaker-style cabinets and doors to the handmade wooden staircase. One of the other unique features of Royal Retreat is that you do not climb any stairs to access the front door. This is rare in our neighborhood; most homes are on a steep hillside, meaning you haul bags up stairs before reaching the front door. In addition, Royal Retreat’s guest bedroom, which boasts a king-size bed, is on the first floor with a bathroom right across the hall, making it perfect for guests who are less mobile.

In terms of amenities, Royal Retreat offers luxury upon luxury. Its kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare gourmet meals. The primary suite is outfitted in elegant yet simple decor, and the bathroom offers a shower and jetted bathtub. Both bathrooms feature Italian marble counters and showers. For additional sleeping options, we offer a sofa bed in the loft (sleeps up to two people). For parties of two people, consider our studio, Serenity Suite, located directly below Royal Retreat with its own private parking, entrance and deck.

Royal Retreat offers beautiful views of the forest from its rooms. The living room and loft are especially relaxing; both receive ample sunlight and showcase peaceful views of the trees surrounding the property. If you want to grill, the covered deck gives you the luxury of being outside, while providing shelter from the sun or rain.
